The popular Trim Pro case trimmer has been improved with the addition of a spring-loaded universal shell holder. The springloaded shell holder securely locks the case in alignment with the cutter. Forster offers a premium line of case trimmers. These units will trim from .17 caliber to .45 caliber. Accuracy is Forster's main concern. The unit uses a Brown & Sharpe type collet to hold the case. This insures uniform case lengths even when there is a variation in the rim diameter. Versatility is the other unique feature of this trimmer. Forster offers six different case conditioning accessories, unique to this unit. You can inside ream, outside neck turn, deburr, hollow point bullets, clean primer pockets, and chamfer military primer pockets. This unit is designed to trim faster than the hand operated trimmer. If you are into high volume reloading, this is the tool for your bench. The Power Case Trimmer can be used with any standard drill press. Case length is controlled by the stop on your drill press. An alignment bar is furnished with the kit to align the trimmer and drill press spindle. The cutter shaft is made with a 1/4" hardened steel shank. The Forster Outside Neck Turner will turn your case neck concentric to its true axis. It is superior to any hand held turner that is centered by only the pilot. This unit produces neck walls of uniform thickness and exact outside neck diameters. The unit consists of a cutter head which carries an adjustable circular carbide cutter. The tool will turn any diameter between .17 and .375. (Note: .17 caliber requires special length carbide cutter and a .17 caliber case turner collet shaft.) The short pilot used in case trimming is replaced by an extra long, hardened and ground pilot. As the wall of the neck passes progressively between the pilot and the cutter, the neck wall thickness is reduced to a uniform thickness. You can control the rate of feed by rotating the feeder cam and a mechanical stop controls the length of the cut. To change calibers, just change pilot and make the cutter adjustments. Remember that cases to be neck turned must first have the neck resized and expanded.

Forster Neck Reamers

Pressure inside the rifle causes the brass to flow forward until it becomes necessary to remove the excess material from the neck walls. The Forster Neck Reamer (mounted in the cutter shaft in place of the pilot), removes that excess brass. The Neck Reamer is made of high grade, wear resistant tool steel and is ground to special tooth design so the brass is cut smoothly, without chattering. Neck reaming is done after firing and before you full length or neck size the case. Wall thickness may be measured with a tubing micrometer, but for a faster check, slide a bullet into the unsized neck of the fired case. If you feel interference, then it’s time for inside neck reaming or outside neck turning.

(+) These reamers are for those reloaders who ream their cases after the
sizing operation and just before seating bullets.
